I spent sixteen years installing windshields and managing crews before my wife and I opened GlassMasters in Higginsville in 2006. Those years taught me something that corporate glass chains seemed to miss: people don't want a transaction. They want someone who shows up, knows what they're doing, and treats their car like it matters. My wife handled the paperwork while I did everything else—and I mean everything. We were small, scrappy, and determined to prove that hometown values and quality didn't have to come with hometown prices.
Growth came because we kept that promise. By 2013, we opened a second location in Marshall. Then our son joined us. What started as my wife and me became a real family business, and that changed everything about how we see the work. We weren't just installing glass anymore. We were taking care of someone else's family and their car, the same way we'd want someone to take care of ours.
Experience matters because shortcuts show. I've seen installers rush a windshield seal and watched customers come back six months later with water leaks. Once you've been on the wrong side of that phone call, you don't cut corners anymore.
